Obama and The Patriot Act

Do you think he'll get rid of it? I really hope so. I have nothing to hide, but its the principle of the thing. Thats just one more step towards a dystopia. Thats North Korea kinda stuff.

What do yall think?

I thought I'd help you out a lil. Here's some insight to the Patriot Act.

"The Act increases the ability of law enforcement agencies to search telephone, e-mail communications, medical, financial and other records; eases restrictions on foreign intelligence gathering within the United States; expands the Secretary of the Treasury’s authority to regulate financial transactions, particularly those involving foreign individuals and entities; and enhances the discretion of law enforcement and immigration authorities in detaining and deporting immigrants suspected of terrorism-related acts. The act also expands the definition of terrorism to include domestic terrorism, thus enlarging the number of activities to which the USA PATRIOT Act’s expanded law enforcement powers can be applied."

I italic'd what I don't agree with.

Also notice the over use of words like, "Increase, Expand, Enhance, Enlarge, etc." Very vague, And no exact measurement.
I'm only 18, but I'm pretty damn perceptive. And although I agree with you, I too have nothing to hide, I still don't quite like invasive actions taken on me at liberty.

Obama has no plan to take the troops out, its not apart of his policy at all. He's continuing with all wars. You will be in the mid east indefinetly as it stands.

I thought these were in Bush's policies.. the ones Obama didn't like..

Obama won't give up any of the powers instituted under Bush. Absolute power makes things a lot easier.
