I demand it!

I know that now a days games look great in 3D.. but I demand a 2D graphic'd game and here's why!

Back on the PS1, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night showed how great 2D games can look on the PS1 (and Saturn aswell) and On the PS2, Odin Sphere showed how beautiful it can look.

Ever thought how amazing they can look on the PS3?

I agree with you 100%, a 2d game would look and be amazing if they did it right but i dont think it would ever fly on the ps3 because there are too many people that think graphics and a shiny 3d enviroment make a game a "game" if you know what i mean, i wish people cared about the storyline and gameplay

I'd be pretty disappointed if Marvel vs Capcom 3 or Strider 3 were in 3D.. most 3D games today are just.. slow..

I know that Capcom and Nintendo realize that looks aren't everything. Proof of that is MegaMan 9 and Wario Land: Shake It.

But if they put more effort to it, the games can look gorgious.. Plus for some reason, 2D games are FASTER..

i find they pose alot more of a challenge than 3d games do to, i find newer age games to easy

God, I laugh everytime people complain about the difficulty of MegaMan 9..

I'm glad atleast Capcom focuses on their fans rather thanthe casual gamer that finds Super Mario Bros. to be hard as hell..

The downloadable Difficulties and levels were hard but the game wasn't nearly as hard as MegaMan 1 and 2.

You're missing the point. I'm not talking 2D as in Side scrollers. I'm talking graphic wise.

So, you want to dumb down the graphics? Why? they achieve the same games, why not make it pretty?

Dude, did you even read what I said in the first post?

If you played Odin Sphere, you'd notice it pushed the PS2's 2D graphics to it's limit making it look very beautiful. If someone tried the same on the PS3, who know what it could do!

You know, that's actually a good point. That's kind of mind boggling. They should definitely do something like that. Be cool if they released a 2D PS3 game that was really long.

Edit: Yes, a new street fighter game thats 2d would be awesome. Finally saw what you meant by 2d. Smile

Plus with Blue-Ray, who knows what they can do!

It would put the Sega Saturn to shame. And the Saturn was one of if not strongest 2D system.

Ahhh yes, the Sega Saturn.

I think I remember playing one of those. Such a long time ago though.

Frankly I loved playing Mario on Nintendo. Man I feel kinda old now.

That's pretty much why I get annoyed by many gamers these days. They don't show respect to old games.

I think if they did this 2D thing right, people would give old school some respect.

And we're not focusing on the past, we're talking how 2D graphics will look IN THE FUTURE.. pay attention people.

EDIT: just to note, 2D graphics isn't only for Side Scrollers. I know graphics aren't really important, but after playing Odin Sphere, 2D graphics do really give a wow factor.

dude common what’s so cool about 2d ? :S , 3rd is better ( in my opinion )
