I have 2 XP computers, and 2 vistas.

i personally like my vistas more, but its all opinion

I'm using an XP now because my Vista is so freakin' slow.. It does have some decent features and it looks nicer though..

I love my Vista!

Most people that buy vista think its going to be great for their high performance applications and games. Its not. I have 32-Bit, and i get by, but for the real power of vista, is all in the 64-Bit.

It is getting a lot more crap than it deserves, but I wouldn't say it's a good OS either really.

I've used it for about a year and got really sick of it, so I got XP back. about a month ago I decided to give vista another try with SP1, bad decision really Smile

I heavily prefer XP, Windows 7 should be better though Smile

I'm using my XP Computer, My vista seems to always crash and its a freakin pain to fix it. In my oppinion I find both are good in different ways.

Vista sucks.. I prefer XP or linux.. Vista has to much bogging it down, its really useless.

I love vista, and can't wait for Windows 7, it looks really good. I think alot of people that don't like it probably haven't tried it for long enough.

I've been using vista for just over a year now, and it's not as terrible as people made it out to be.

Is it perfect? Heck no.

Is it good? Maybe. As long as you turn off UAC it's not that annoying, and not using Aero helps it run a bit lighter.

I agree, everyone complains of how vista has so many issues and stuff but Ive had mine for a year and the only thing that bothers me is the high security settings cheers

vista is great if you have they system to run it. It just takes too much to run and now with the current economy it just doesn't fit. However from what I have heard windows 7 is much less of a resource hog.

It really is underrated. But I would go back to XP if it would handle by big bumm wallpapers correctly. Vista seems to resize my huge pictures for the wallpaper, where as XP makes it look weird as hell.

So I went back to Vista. I hope Windows 7 have some sort of option to go with the XP theme or something.

Seeing as how the one true selling feature of Vista is DirectX 10 for gamers. It is HIGHLY overrated, as you can get DX10 on XP now.

I do not agree at ALL!
I hate vista with all my heart.

ATM i run 2x OS'es on my PC.
Win Xp for windows programs and games,
Linux Ubuntu for everything else.

I personally like Vista. It doesn't do all the things that those Mac ads say, but then this is all a matter of opinion and user type. If a user treats a computer poorly then they'll have a clunker on their hands. In the reverse a well maintained PC or Mac will run smooth.

Sometimes however things such as firmware and faulty manufacturing can cause a computer to go on the fritz. So who knows.. It all boils down the user.

As far as your question and my long digression from it. Yes Vista is greatly under rated.

basic fact everyone should know.
vista is mac OS Xs handicapped twin brother.
vista is a poor excuse for an OS.
sadly im soon or later gonna get forced to use the crap.
but for now im sticking with XP.( XP sucks as well but microsoft generally cant make anything that works properly. the XBOXs comes with a to small fan so they overheat. WTF?!)

I have to say i think vista is better because i had xp for while then i just switched to vista a few months ago and i kinda like it.
I love easy it is to find things after u get used to it.
And after awhile i think all games are all gonna support vista.
