| i hav an 80gb ps3 and i get aroung 72gb of memery. now after i add up all my memory there is 10 gb unaccouted for it says i have 60/72 gb
where did ther rest go? | |

| the rest is actually the OS. there is like 8 gigs for internet and playstation store and just the navigation system. Also they keep memory for faster internet and faster game response . When you buy a 40 you have like 35.. a 60 you have 56 and a 80 you have 72... 160 i think you have 151 (approximations) So yea thats why. Its for the softwares.. | |

| Every company says the hd will have X amount of space but usually comes up short, my xbox 360's hd is supposed to be 20 but is only 13. My 40gb ps3 is actually 37, and my 30 gb ipod is actually 28. I wouldn't worry about it too much. | |

| I'm thinking it might be your installed game data but I'm pretty sure you already checked that. I remember Playstation Home giving me a notice that it is going to reserve at least 3-5 gb of memory for the insane amounts of updates its going to have, it could possibly be that. | |

| like if i wiped my drive from the all the saves, utilty data, music,movies demos ect there will be about 10gb missing
