philosophy and poetry

theres no thread for either of them and i think its needed.
so im gonna start it off with one of my poems.
i rarely write anymore and sadly ive lost jsut about everything ive written.
but i still have one or two.
this poem is called my love.
it was written when i was in a suicidal mood( so is everything else ive written. so when i write something its not exactly happy poems)

id cry but my tears gone dry.
id tell you im sorry but im not.
id tell you its not the real me but i cant lie.
im not what you think i am.
im not who you think i am.
im heartless.
im a dying soul.
i care but not enough.
i feel but not enough.
i feel love but not enough.
i feel pain but to much.
but at last i found someone who cares.
at last i found someone gives me what i want.
at last i found someone who gives me what i need.
i found you my dearest.
i found you my love.
i foung you.
realse me for these bonds of flesh.
realese me from these earthly needs.
realese me my love.
my razorblade.
my savior

Wow Bro, Real deep.
I Sadly don't have that creative edge to make a poem as nice or a serious as yours, But i do know one that i truly love that i found in the internet, it's a about bob Marley(I like everything that's related to him) I dint make it. But man, this poem surely give's me goose bump's!

Roses are red,
Dark is rotten,
Bob Marley is dead,
I Haven't Forgotten,
Red to the blood that runs thru his veins,
Yellow to the sun that shines on his grave,
Green to the grass when he used to get high,
CHEERS to bob Marley!
No woman no cry,
rememba da day,
The 11th of may,
When the KING OF REGGAE,
past away....

thanks a lot. i actually posted that poem on poetry.com and they pick some poems every month for a contest called editors choice awards.
i got to the semi finales with it. and its gonna be in a book.
so im proud if that poem.
and i loved that poem.

and yes props to the person that made that poem.

sense this also is a philosophy thread id like to tell you the true meaning of life.
i find it strange that no one else seem to know it cause its so simple.
survival of your own species. we live to ensure that humans will continue to live by reproducing.
just like every other animal on this planet.
and you cant deny that. cause it is the stone cold fact.
you may seek your own purpose. but your true purpose is still to reproduce and ensure our survival.
the only reason you may think different is cause the human mind does not want to accept that.
its to simple. its not what you want it to be.
so let me ask you. what do you believe is our purpose?

Tanka is basicly a 5 line poem with respectivly 5,7,5,7,7 sylables.

Its called Child

Child

The child is running
Not knowing what his life is
Really all about
Living just days after days
Running in the field of life

Lulz I got A+ for that in english at school

Great poems. I think poems go in art since well its artwork, too bad poetry isnt my forte.

well graffiti is art but generally its considered vandalism.
but this is also a philosophy thread and thats not an art so i figured id put it in the offtopic.

i have no name for this poem but i think im gonna call it "reality"

i wish i was dead but i will never pull the trigger.
i hate what i have become but i will never change.
im capable of great things but im to lazy to ever try.
this is my reality.
