The Nintendo 64 had that name because of the new 64-bit CPU it had, as opposed to the 32-bit CPU from the previous generation.

The current consoles still function on a 64-bit CPU so it wouldn't make any sense at all to call the nest one Wii 64 again, as there's not even a switch happening. If a switch would happen, it would be a 128-bit CPU, in which case Wii 128 would make more sense really.

Though I doubt that we'll see 128-bit CPUs in the next gen consoles already.

Just like they did with the old 8-bit Nintendo, once they upgrade they cleverly added the "Super" And surely the SNES was truely "Super"!

Super Nintendo Entertainment system Its super (better)

Nintendo 64 -Updated chip, it was revolutionary so they made it the name

Nintendo Gamecube - it was a gaming system in a cube

Nintendo Wii - its supposed to be a family gaming system.

if ive made 80 posts in a day its cause i had 80 things to say.
i love it on soul speak. and also ive recently lost everything i called a life and im struggling to get back on my feet. but sense finding a job in a town thats very small and is suffering hard from the economic crisis i cant get a job. in less than a month about 600 ppl lost there jobs cause no one can afford to have them. just so you get the picture of how crap it is in this town atm.
and in case you havent noticed ive bin on here trying to help a lot of ppl.
and ive had alot of serious discussion with ppl.
and it may not have bin aimed just at me but if you try to make me think that you did not have the name DtoX in your mind when you posted that your lying. cause i know it was.
and as for the contradicting my self part. your wrong.
cause i couldnt care less of what you think of me and my intentions.
