The Real Game of 2008

Being a Metal Gear solid fan i would say MGS4 was the biggest game of the year for me.

In my opinion LittleBig Planet is game of the year.
but I can't disagree with MGS4

The real win of 2008 was Fallout 3 because of the wide space enviroment and other stuff.

The gta seies died after vice city well at least i though thier was to much hyp for the gta IV and the game sucked

Good 2 see, MGS4 fanboys still exist.
But I do disagree that GTA4 didnt deserve to win, it was a good game and improved on many aspects of the previous games but it wasnt 10/10 worthy (no game ever is). The biggest drawback of GTA4 imo was the graphics, on my 32" it looked blurry and out of focus and actually gave me pretty bad eye strain making it to an extent unplayable for long periods of time. Plus that stupid babysitting mechanic "go take mr.x to the bar and play darts" what a rubbish idea.
My game of year would have to be Gears of war 2, the whole game was so "epic" along with a strong multiplayer component it just ticked all the boxes. It sure as hell wasnt perfect, the tank sequence was pretty poor and it had alot of connection issues at launch due to the matchmaking software. There were some other great games too such as dead space, fallout 3, far cry 2.

I'd say Metal Gear Solid 4 or LittleBigPlanet should be games of the year.

MGS4 had AMAZING story telling and great gameplay but LBP had soo many innovations up the butt!

Dead Space is my GOTY.

LBP was extremly over-rated, its a platformer with a level creator? It was so hyped, shame no ps3 owners who were singing it praises actually whent and bought it. But MM did bring somthing new to the consoles and it deserves big respect for taking that risk, and LBP can be cute.

Fallout 3 or mgs4 should have won.. Not gta4.

I think it's gonna have to be either MGS4 or little big planet (I mean come on it's inventive AND fun !)

I think MGS4 was stupid. You had to play all ones before this to understand what was going on. So i personally think MGS4 SUCKED!
